Carbohydrates, unlike fats and proteins, have earned the dubious reputation in the diet – and they should not have. Their role is no less important than the role of other nutrients. This is what I have learned from the course “Carbohydrate Confidence” by Paul Salter, and I do not regret that I have decided to download it. In my opinion, the material presented in this course deserves a strong four on a five-point system. Those who once faced with the issues of weight loss heard that carbs are exactly those substances, which cause the greatest harm to the body, as they are contained mainly in all sorts of sweets and flour products that make us gain weight. So, for those who want to get rid of the so hated kilograms, there is only one solution – to eliminate carbohydrates from your diet.
What is true and what is not? That is what you will be able to learn from the course Carbohydrate Confidence. Carbohydrates are a number of organic substances, which are the main source of energy for any person’s body. Carbohydrates comprise the majority of the products we consume daily: bread, cereals, legumes, fruits, vegetables, and even dairy products. Most carbohydrates are in the sweet foods – so, for example, sugar is almost entirely carbohydrate (99, 9%), and honey – 80.3%.
Besides the fact that carbohydrates help in the formation of bones and cartilages, the immune system, etc., they are receptors of hormones and even perform antitumor activity, and their main function is to stock up our body on energy reserve in the form of glycogen, which among other things gives us energy and strength for physical activity. That is, cutting carbs out of your diet will leave your body weak, which will lose the ability to move, and will make your brain stop working. It is therefore important to understand the nature of carbohydrates. The course Carbohydrate Confidence really helped me in that, and that is what I wish to all of you!
