How happy then to find this old photo of a pair of WWI era Red Cross nurses in their uniforms, holding a red cross flag to boot. (And with a cat at their feet, too!) Wonderful faces on these two women, Latina I presume, with the older looking figuratively if not literally very much the mother to the younger, who looks perhaps a bit
