I like how the lettering plays across the combination of matte red paint and shiny tin surface

with the tiniest interior egg very tiny indeed

I's guess this head dates to sometime 1920s-40s

which I'll continue to scoop up as I think they're really a lovely

Braille Alphabet Cards, School of the Blind, Watertown, MA c. 1940s - Sold Individually mid-century vase I like how the letteringI've never learned braille but these make me want to, and I think hanging one on the wall where one would see it all the time would prompt one, often, to imagine how it would be to experience the world without sight. Which for me at least stimulates both empathy and imagination. And, perhaps ironically, I find these, in their very 1940s or so institutional manner, very visually satisfying.
