Domaine Michel Gros Bourgogne Hautes Cotes de Nuits Rouge Fontaine Saint Martin 2021 NO20231025 Great herbal/grassy notesThe 7 ha hillside vineyard sits between 350 m 390 m with southeast exposures that overlooks the valley and the Cistercian Abbey of Lieu Dieu des Champs. The Gros family cleared the land in 1976 and planted 4 ha of Pinot Noir from 1981 1986 and 3 ha of Chardonnay in 1987. These plantings were completed with the last plot 1 hectare, acquired in 2007 and replanted in 2009. The soil of limestone and marl is mixed with Oxfordian clay (Jurassic period).
